Terms & Conditions
Welcome to the official website of Anamnesis Films. By accessing our services or booking a production, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms ensure a professional and seamless experience for both the filmmaker and the client.
1. Booking and Reservation
Retainer Fee: A non-refundable retainer fee (50% of the total collection) is required to secure your event date.
Confirmation: Your date is not officially "booked" until the retainer is paid and the contract is signed.
Final Payment: The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before the event date.
2. Creative Artistry and Style
Artistic Credit: By hiring Anamnesis Films, you acknowledge our unique cinematic style and editing techniques.
Creative Control: We retain ultimate creative control over the final edit, including music selection (unless specifically agreed otherwise), color grading, and storytelling flow.
Raw Footage: Raw, unedited footage is generally not provided as it does not represent the finished artistic product.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellation: If the client cancels the event, the retainer fee will be forfeited to cover loss of opportunity and administrative costs.
Rescheduling: We will make every effort to accommodate a new date, subject to availability. A rescheduling fee will apply.
4. Copyright and Usage
Ownership: Anamnesis Films retains the copyright to all video and media produced.
Client License: You are granted a non-exclusive, personal use license to share, copy, and display the films for non-commercial purposes.
Promotion: We reserve the right to use highlights of your film for promotional purposes (website, social media, competitions) unless a "Privacy Buyout" or written opt-out is agreed upon in advance.
5. Production Requirements
Meals & Access: For events exceeding 5 hours, a hot meal must be provided for the videography team. We also require safe and reasonable access to all filmed locations.
Liability: We are not responsible for compromised coverage due to interference from guests, other vendors, or restricted access at the venue.
6. Delivery Timeline
Highlight Films: Typically delivered within 4 weeks.
Feature Films: Due to the meticulous nature of our editing, full feature films may take up to 6 months during peak season.
7. Overtime
If the event runs beyond the contracted coverage hours, an hourly overtime rate applies [€150/hour]. Overtime must be agreed upon on the day, either verbally or in writing, before continuing to film.
8. Backup Equipment and Second Shooter
We shoot with professional-grade backup cameras, audio recorders, and storage media at every event to minimize the risk of technical failure. In the rare event of illness or emergency preventing the lead videographer from attending, we will make every reasonable effort to provide a qualified replacement of comparable skill. If no replacement is available, liability is limited to a full refund of monies paid — we are not liable for any further damages, including emotional distress or the cost of re-staging any part of the event.
9. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be held liable for failure to perform their obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, war, pandemic, or venue closure. In such cases, both parties will work in good faith to reschedule; the retainer fee remains applicable toward the rescheduled date.
10. Destination Weddings and Travel
For weddings outside our base location of Athens, Greece, the following applies: travel, accommodation, and, where applicable, visa or entry costs are the client's responsibility and will be quoted separately as part of the booking agreement. We recommend confirming these arrangements at least 60 days before the event. We are not responsible for delays or missed coverage caused by travel disruptions outside our control (flight cancellations, ferry delays, extreme weather), though we will make every reasonable effort to reach the venue on time.
11. Model Release and Guest Footage
By booking our services, the client grants permission to film and photograph guests attending the event as part of the overall coverage. Guests who do not wish to appear on camera should inform the couple in advance so that reasonable accommodations can be made; we cannot guarantee the exclusion of any individual from wide or candid shots.
12. AI-Assisted Editing Disclosure
We may use software tools, including AI-assisted tools, to support editing tasks such as color correction, audio noise reduction, stabilization, or removal of minor distractions. Anamnesis Films retains full creative control over the final edit. The use of such tools does not transfer any ownership or rights in our editing methods, presets, or workflows.
13. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability under this agreement is limited to the total amount paid by the client for services rendered. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of enjoyment or emotional distress, except where such limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
14. International Clients and Dispute Resolution
Clients booking from outside Greece acknowledge that this agreement is governed by Greek law, and that certain consumer protections in their home country (such as cooling-off periods or cancellation rights under UK or US law) may not apply to services rendered in Greece. We encourage international clients to review this agreement carefully before signing and to seek independent legal advice if needed.
15. Payments from Abroad
Payments from international clients may be made via bank transfer or [PayPal/Stripe]. Any currency conversion fees or international transfer charges are the responsibility of the client. All prices are quoted in EUR (€) unless otherwise agreed in writing.
16. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be settled in the courts of Greece.
